The finished walls in the media room. The top layer is a soft gray, acoustically transparent fabric. Underneath the fabric is either 1.25 inches of acoustic insulation or a dispersion panel with lots of funny bumps. All of this is intended to improve the quality of sound in the room, not necessarily insulate the rest of the world from the noise.
